Understand the difference between a card’s printed rarity, its finish and its reveal effects.
Rarity describes the card
Printed rarity comes from the indexed card record. It remains part of the card details when you inspect the artwork or visit its catalogue page. An elaborate reveal is a presentation of the pull, not a replacement rarity.
Finish describes the variant
Normal, reverse-holo and holo copies can belong to the same card identity. The library also supports special finishes for relevant sets. Each card page lists the versions available in this simulation; the app does not assume that every card has every finish.
A finish has its own binder entry. Finding a reverse-holo copy of a card you own in normal finish therefore adds a new variant. A repeat of a finish you already own converts to Dust when the opening completes.
Effects follow the actual pull
The opening presentation uses the generated card and finish to choose lighting, foil treatment and sound. A foil finish receives at least the holo presentation level while keeping the printed rarity. A secret-rarity label alone does not turn a card into a gold finish.
Animation settings change how you see the reveal. They do not change which card or finish is saved to the collection.
Read the details together
The collector number identifies the printing within its set. Rarity describes the indexed card category, and finish describes the collected version. Compare all three when filling a binder gap or choosing a card to craft.
