About this policy
This policy explains how Poke Fun Play at pokefunplay.com uses information when you browse, play, color, create an account or follow a shopping link. Poke Fun Play is an independent Pokémon fan website.
Browsing, guest games and coloring do not require an account. Account sign-in and cloud collection saves are optional. Google Analytics is optional too; essential-only visitors can continue using the site.
Contact and privacy requests
Poke Fun Play is responsible for the website’s account and collection information. Its operator also runs ColoringBookProShop. To ask about your information or request account deletion, open our Etsy shop and use Contact or Message the seller. Mention Poke Fun Play and describe your request. An Etsy account may be needed to send a message.
The contact-page report builder prepares text for your clipboard or manual copying. It does not send a report or upload your description to this website. You choose whether to send that text through the external contact channel.
Etsy handles messages under its own privacy policy. Do not send passwords or authentication codes. We may need to verify that a request relates to your own account before changing or disclosing account information.
Why information is used
Account and collection information is used to provide the optional sign-in and collection-saving service you request, including restoring progress, resetting passwords and resolving save conflicts. Where UK or European data-protection law applies, this processing relies on providing that requested service.
Essential technical information is used to deliver pages, maintain reliable saves, prevent unauthorized access and investigate service failures. These activities support our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable website. Optional Google Analytics relies on your consent, which you can withdraw using the controls below.
Providing an email address is necessary only when you choose to create or use an account. You can browse and play guest activities without it. The website does not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.
What stays in your browser
Guest card collections and account collections are saved separately in this browser. Local collection data can include owned cards and finishes, pack-opening history, Dust activity, favorites, chase choices, settings and collection progress. The browser also keeps recent recovery copies of collection saves.
Coloring drafts are saved on this device, including your painted image and a save time. Supported games may remember a high score, an unfinished puzzle or hints. These coloring drafts and game records are not part of the account cloud collection backup.
Local preferences remember appearance, audio and motion choices, pending pack navigation and your analytics decision. Sign-in uses browser storage to keep the session available after you close a tab. A temporary session marker may be used when you return from Google sign-in.
These saves use localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB. They are tied to this browser and website address. Clearing site data or using another browser can remove or separate your progress. Export anything you want to keep before clearing it.
Accounts and private cloud saves
You can sign in with Google or register with an email address, password and display name. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in, verification and password-reset emails. Account information includes a Firebase user ID, email address, display name, verification status and linked sign-in providers. Google sign-in uses the Google information needed to authenticate you; the site does not request access to your Gmail, Drive or contacts.
When you use account syncing, Cloud Firestore stores your user ID, display name and update time, plus a compressed collection snapshot and save metadata such as revision, card counts, opening counts and update time. Large snapshots can be split into chunks. Signing in keeps your guest collection separate unless you choose to import it.
Firestore client rules restrict profile and collection access to the matching signed-in account. Collections are not published as a public profile. Authorized project administration and Google’s service processing are separate from these visitor access rules.
The purpose of this information is to run your account, keep collection progress available across devices, detect conflicting saves and support account security. Your password is processed by Firebase Authentication; it is not included in the collection snapshot or Google Analytics events.
Optional Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-DSG7TYGDMH, helps identify useful pages and understand site use. The Google tag is loaded only after you choose Allow analytics on the published site. Choosing Essential only leaves analytics disabled. Your choice is remembered in this browser.
Analytics can process page views, browser and device information, interactions and approximate location derived from a connection’s IP address. The site’s page-view code removes URL query strings and fragments from page locations and referrers. It does not send your email address, Firebase user ID, password, private collection or coloring image as analytics parameters.
If you allow analytics, Google can set first-party _ga and _ga_… cookies to distinguish visits and maintain session information. Google documents a default lifetime of two years for these cookies; browser and service settings can shorten or change their lifetime.
You can change your choice here or in Settings. Selecting Essential only disables further site analytics and attempts to remove this site’s _ga cookies. It does not delete your account, collection or drawings, or erase analytics already received by Google. The site keeps advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization consent denied.
Analytics preferences are available in the interactive controls on this page and in Settings.
Hosting, security and service providers
Google Firebase provides hosting, public artwork delivery, authentication and private collection storage. Network requests necessarily reveal information such as your IP address and browser information to the services delivering the site. Firebase describes how it uses this information for delivery, security and abuse prevention.
The Firestore database is configured in London (europe-west2). Firebase Authentication runs in the United States, and hosting, storage delivery and other Google processing can involve global infrastructure. A London database does not mean all service information stays in the UK.
Firebase protects service traffic with HTTPS and encrypts supported data at rest. Access controls help protect private collections, but no online or device storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Other people using the same browser may be able to access locally saved progress, so sign out when using a shared device.
Shopping links, affiliate links and advertising
The Shop page and product carousel link to ColoringBookProShop on Etsy using its unique shop address, including listing links. Etsy handles purchases, payment details, order messages and downloads. Poke Fun Play does not take payments or receive your card details through these links. Etsy may use its own cookies and referral tracking when you visit.
Some links to Amazon and TCGplayer are paid affiliate links. We may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Amazon links include the Associates tag crescentdre0c-20; TCGplayer links use partner.tcgplayer.com/X43Ad5. Clicking a shopping link takes you to a third-party site, whose own privacy and cookie policies apply. Your private account collection is not attached to these links.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
This version of the website does not load display-ad scripts. An ads.txt registration lists an advertising seller; it does not, by itself, run ads or set advertising cookies. If advertising behavior changes, this policy and the relevant privacy controls should be updated.
Your controls and how long data stays
Browser saves and preferences have no automatic expiry set by this website. They remain until replaced, cleared by you or removed by the browser. The collection recovery store keeps up to five recent local backups for each save. Files you download are under your control and remain wherever you save them.
The current cloud collection snapshot is kept until replaced by syncing or deleted with the account’s Delete cloud backup control. That control removes the current snapshot and attempts to remove its associated chunks. It keeps the local collection, account and profile. Continuing to change and sync your signed-in collection can create another cloud snapshot.
Signing out ends the local authenticated session but keeps locally saved account progress and does not delete the Firebase account. Clearing browser site data removes local saves, drafts, preferences and sign-in state; it does not remove cloud data or downloaded files. There is currently no in-site account-deletion button or privacy-request form.
Firebase’s own service retention also applies. Firebase documents that authentication information is kept until account deletion is initiated, logged authentication IP addresses are kept for a few weeks, and hosting IP information is kept for a few months. Google Analytics retention depends on the property’s settings; this policy does not promise an unverified fixed analytics retention period.
- Change your display name, reset a password, verify your email or sign out on the Account page.
- Use Delete cloud backup on the Account page when a cloud snapshot exists. Read its confirmation before deleting.
- Use Showcase to download a collection image or card list. Exports include the display name you choose and the selected card details; they are not automatically published by the site.
- Download or print your colored artwork from the coloring editor. Clearing the editor can replace that picture’s local draft; clearing browser site data removes all local drafts.
- Choose Essential only in the analytics preference controls to withdraw optional analytics consent for this browser.
Privacy rights and future updates
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent and raise a concern with a data-protection authority. The controls described above are the controls currently available on this website; deleting a cloud backup is not the same as deleting an account.
Children can browse guest activities without giving the site an email address or creating an account. A parent or guardian should help with account registration and any external shopping. The website does not ask for a date of birth or collect payment details.
This policy will be updated when the site’s data use or available controls change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
