Work out an attacking type’s effectiveness against single and dual-type Pokémon, including immunities and double weaknesses.

How to play

  1. Read the attacking type and the defender’s types. Select no effect, not very effective, normal or super effective, then inspect the exact multiplier.
  2. The game begins when the page opens. Change its settings for a fresh challenge, or use the restart control for another round.

Strategy tips

For a dual-type defender, multiply both interactions. Two weaknesses give four times damage; two resistances give one quarter damage.

An immunity overrides the other type, since zero multiplied by any other modifier stays zero. Think about both defender types before answering.

What rules and data does this game use?

The modern eighteen-type chart is used. Abilities, items and other battle effects are outside this type-only quiz.

How do I play on a phone?

Use the labeled touch controls within the board. Where keyboard or drag controls are available, a tap-based alternative is provided too. The page adapts to portrait screens and respects reduced-motion settings.

How do I start another round?

Use the restart control. Physics games offer a next-stage button after you finish a challenge. Changing board settings starts a new round with those rules.
