Espeon and Umbreon Battle Decks: what arrives on October 30
The 30th Celebration Battle Decks pair Espeon ex and Umbreon ex with all-foil decks and different promo cards. Compare a ready-to-play deck with a booster purchase.

What is in the announcement
Pokémon’s October product roundup dates the 30th Celebration Battle Decks for October 30, 2026. Each contains an all-foil 60-card deck. Espeon ex is paired with an illustration rare-style Victini promo, while Umbreon ex is paired with Zeraora. The product page also lists a deck box, playmat and coin. A separate Deck Crafter’s Collection is scheduled for October 23.
Our take: a deck answers a different question from a booster
Think about what you want to do when the package is open. If your goal is to sit down with a deck, read its cards together and learn how its pieces fit, a ready-made list gives you a clear starting point. If your goal is the surprise of an opening, you are choosing a different experience. The attractive illustration on a box does not make those two goals interchangeable.
For a shared session, decide in advance whether the cards will stay together for play or be placed into a binder afterward. It is easier to make that decision before everyone has selected a favorite foil. Keeping a copy of the deck list with the box can help you track what has moved.
Plan a display around the pairing you prefer
Espeon and Umbreon naturally suggest contrasting display ideas. A pale, warm page around Espeon or a dark, restrained page around Umbreon can make the central illustration easier to notice. Try a simple paper backing first and check that it does not obscure the cards or interfere with the binder pockets.
Compare the complete contents rather than buying on the lead Pokémon alone. A useful personal checklist is: favorite artwork, intention to play, storage space and items you will actually use. This is our collecting framework; it is not a claim that either deck will rise in value or produce a competitive result.
Check the listing for your market
The date above comes from Pokémon’s U.S. announcement. Confirm the exact edition and local release details with the retailer before making plans. Our shop has printable binder organizers, while the Pokédex has species information for Espeon and Umbreon. Neither changes what is included in a physical Battle Deck.
