How to play

  1. Choose CPU or two players, select your teams and take turns placing marks. Connect three across, down or diagonally; a full board without a line is a draw.
  2. The game begins when the page opens. Change its settings for a fresh challenge, or use the restart control for another round.

Strategy tips

Control the center when possible, but check for an immediate opposing win before building a longer-term threat. Corners can create two threats at once.

Smart CPU searches possible continuations. Relaxed CPU still takes an immediate win or block. Rematches alternate the starting team.

What should I check before taking a corner?

Look for an immediate winning move, then an opposing line with two marks and an empty third square. Block that line before building a slower plan. Next look for a fork: one move creating two separate winning threats. The center helps, but it does not replace checking the current board.

How do rematches and two-player games work?

Two players take turns on the same device; no invitation or second screen is involved. Rematch alternates which Pokémon team starts and keeps the match scores. Reset score clears those totals and returns the starting mark to X. Changing teams, mode or CPU difficulty starts a new match.

What is different about Relaxed and Smart CPU?

Two-player mode means taking turns on the same device. There is no online matchmaking or server opponent.
