Solve a five-letter Pokémon-themed word in six guesses. Discover names, regions, trainers, types, items and moves in a daily puzzle or fresh practice rounds.
How to play
- Guess a five-letter Pokémon-themed answer in six tries. Type or tap the keyboard, then press Enter. Green means the letter is in the right position; yellow means it belongs elsewhere; gray means no remaining copy belongs in the answer.
- Daily resets at midnight UTC. Practice gives another puzzle without resetting today’s progress. No timer or extra hints change the six-guess challenge.
Strategy tips
Use a first guess with a mix of vowels and consonants. Ordinary English five-letter guesses are accepted alongside Pokémon vocabulary, but every answer is Pokémon-themed.
Repeated letters are counted individually. If the answer contains one E, guessing two Es cannot produce two positive marks. Follow the strongest keyboard feedback and use each row to test a new possibility.
Can the same letter be both colored and gray?
Yes. Green matches use their copies first; yellow matches use only the copies left over. For example, STEEL has two Es. A guess containing three or four Es cannot receive a positive mark for every E. A gray extra copy does not cancel an earlier green or yellow E.
Why does a normal English guess work in a Pokémon puzzle?
The answer is always a five-letter term from the Pokémon-themed answer pool, but ordinary five-letter English guesses are also accepted. Use them to test letters, then use the revealed pattern to narrow the Pokémon, place, character, type, item or move. Practice leaves the Daily puzzle separate.
When does the Daily puzzle change, and where is my progress kept?
Daily gives everyone the same puzzle and resets at midnight UTC. Practice offers fresh rounds across Pokémon, places, characters, types and related terms. Progress and statistics stay in this browser. This fan puzzle is not affiliated with Wordle or The New York Times.
