How to play

1. Drag from the first letter to the last, or tap the endpoints. The selection snaps to eight straight directions and previews the letters. Found names leave a colored line and reveal their Pokémon.
2. The game begins when the page opens. Change its settings for a fresh challenge, or use the restart control for another round.

Strategy tips

Look for a name’s least common letter, then scan straight lines from it. A letter can belong to several intersecting names.

Choose a generation, type, legendary group or mixed lineup. Easy, Classic and Challenge grids give fresh puzzles. Five hints glow at starting letters without solving names. Pause or return to an unfinished hunt saved in this browser.

Why is a name I traced not being accepted?

Follow one listed name along a single straight row, column or diagonal. The line cannot bend around a corner. Drag between its endpoints or tap the two endpoints; tracing the stored word in reverse is accepted too. Names lose spaces and punctuation inside the letter grid.

What do the five hints reveal?

Each hint briefly highlights the starting letter of an unfound listed name; it does not mark the whole word. Check all eight directions from that letter. Pause hides the board and stops the hunt timer. Returning to the same category and challenge can restore its unfinished browser-saved grid.

Why are spaces and punctuation missing from the letter grid?

Only letters appear in the grid. Spaces and punctuation are removed while the word list retains readable Pokémon names.
