Pokémon GO Halloween 2026: a clear two-part calendar

Plan for costumed Pokémon in Part I and Shiny Greavard’s debut in Part II. The two stages have different dates, with every time shown as local time.

Two stages with a shared handover

Pokémon GO’s official notices schedule Halloween Part I from October 27 at 10 a.m. to November 1 at 10 a.m., followed by Part II through November 5 at 8 p.m. in 2026. All times are local. Part I introduces costumed Pikachu, Zubat and Sinistea; Part II adds the chance to encounter Shiny Greavard for the first time.

Our take: make a target list, not a completion demand

Choose one or two things you would enjoy finding, then leave room for a relaxed session. A clear target gives a walk a theme without making every encounter feel like progress toward an obligation. A Shiny appearance is a possibility in the announcement, not something a particular outing can promise.

Keep each target beside the relevant stage of the calendar. That small step prevents a common planning mistake: remembering a Pokémon from a headline but forgetting which part of the event featured it. Before leaving, check the live app and the official notice for the activity associated with the encounter you want.

Separate the event from the pass

The official Halloween notice describes a GO Pass that spans the event. A reward track and an encounter schedule are different things to read, even when both carry the Halloween name. Look at the task and reward details instead of assuming a pass milestone makes every event activity available.

If several people are playing together, agree on one meeting point and a comfortable finishing time. Our suggestion is to compare favorite catches afterward rather than score the outing by rarity. A shared photo of your route’s autumn scenery or a drawing of a favorite Pokémon can be a nice record of the day without depending on an unusual encounter.

Meet the Pokémon behind the event

Pikachu is familiar to most fans; Greavard is an opportunity to explore a different design and evolution family. The linked Pokédex and coloring pages let you continue the seasonal theme at home. The illustration above shows ordinary Pikachu and Greavard in an imagined lantern fair. It is decorative fan art and does not show the official event costumes.
