Reveal safe squares and flag hidden Voltorb. Play three Minesweeper board sizes with a safe first reveal and touch controls.
How to play
- Reveal safe squares. Numbers count neighbouring hidden Voltorb. Right-click, long-press or enable flag mode to mark a suspected mine. Reveal all safe squares.
- The game begins when the page opens. Change its settings for a fresh challenge, or use the restart control for another round.
Strategy tips
If a number touches that many flags, its other neighbours are safe. If every remaining neighbour must be a mine, mark them before exploring elsewhere.
The first square and its neighbours are safe. Blank regions open together. Flags are reminders and can be wrong; later positions may still require a guess.
What does a revealed number tell me?
It counts Voltorb in all adjacent squares, including diagonals. If a 1 touches one correctly flagged Voltorb, its other unrevealed neighbors are safe. A flag is only your note, so check the reasoning before trusting it. Revealing all safe squares wins; placing every flag alone does not.
How can I mark a suspected Voltorb on a phone?
Use Flag mode, then tap a closed square to toggle its flag. Switch back to Reveal mode before opening a safe square. A long press also marks a square. The first reveal and its neighbors are protected, but later positions can still require a guess.
Which field sizes are available, and what is protected on the first move?
Choose a 9×9, 12×12 or 16×16 board. Touch users can use the explicit flag-mode control instead of relying on a long press.
